The Big Apple or Bust!
It was a long travel day that really began at 6:30 PM in Friday night. One trip to Atlanta, a flight to JFK, and an hour shuttle ride to Manhattan and we have arrived at our home for the week.
After some orientation we enjoyed an afternoon rest before meeting the staff of One Community Church, the Hell’s Kitchen church that half of our team will be workin with.
The OCC staff spent time telling us about their beginning, their vision, and how we fit. They are a really great, young church plant with a deep passion for engaging the community around them.
We ended the night with a plethora of junk food from Time Square. We’re looking forward to a solid night’s sleep before the real work begins tomorrow!
Thank you for your prayers. Even though we had some challenges over the last 24 hours, God smoothed everything out and got us here safe!
