Going Beyond
Our team worked this morning on The Geneva School finishing up painting & cleaning projects. We also constructed some much needed storage shelves that the teachers will be very excited to have.
A separate team of three helped a lady in Steve & Toni's building with her start up business. She is Catholic whom Steve & Toni have been trying to reach for Christ for about a year and today was the first time she accepted help from them. She was blown away that anyone would want to serve without an expectation of payment in return.
That seems to be a theme this week and something many team members are learning... Being a Jesus follower means serving humbly with no expectation or ulterior motives beyond loving our neighbor and sharing Jesus.
